Traffic Rule: If you see a school bus stopped, you must stop your car and wait until the red lights stop flashing

NMDOT builds and maintains many different types of roads across New Mexico, from small two-lanes roads to large six-lane highways and school buses use them all, if you see a school bus stopped, you need to stop too!

Students across the state are heading back to school! If you see a school bus stopped, you must stop your car and wait until the red lights stop flashing, the extended stop-arm is withdrawn, and the bus begins moving, before you can start driving again.

NMDOT builds and maintains many different types of roads across New Mexico, from small two-lanes roads to large six-lane highways and school buses use them all, if you see a school bus stopped, you need to stop too!
