Annually the Assessor’s Office solicits business data from local commercial property owners.

On Friday, December 26, the Doña Ana County Assessor’s Office Commercial Department will mail data surveys to all commercial property owners and commercial tenants as part of the annual commercial property valuation review process. The survey is part of the county’s ongoing effort to obtain local business data to support annual property valuation efforts for commercial properties.

Annually the Assessor’s Office solicits business data from local commercial property owners. This data collection approach more closely reflects our local economic reality and results in fairer, more equitable tax bills. Without support of the local commercial community, the County will use regional or national data.
The results help the Assessor’s Office meet its mandate to provide fair and equitable valuation assessments for all commercial properties countywide.
Commercial property owners and commercial tenants are encouraged to look for the survey in their mailboxes, which includes a flyer providing an overview of the effort and a data questionnaire.
The short 10-question survey can be completed either on paper and returned by February 2, 2026, by scanning the QR code included in the mailing or completing online at donaana.gov/commercialsurvey.
Participation is anonymous, and responses will be used strictly for valuation analysis to help the County maintain accurate and equitable property assessments.
