Las Cruces: Tuesday Evening Fire Damages Home on Lester Avenue

Fire damaged a home on the 1800 block of Lester Avenue Tuesday evening.

Las Cruces firefighters responded to the structure fire on Lester Avenue just before 7 p.m. Tues., Dec. 16.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the home. Firefighting efforts were delayed due to excessive clutter and hoarding conditions. The home was determined to be a vacant structure.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
