Thursday Morning: Doña Ana Fire Rescue crews responded Placitas House Fire

The fire spread to multiple nearby structures, including a residence being used for storage, an RV in the backyard, and a neighboring home, which also became fully engulfed.

Crews were dispatched to the 200 block of Placitas Avenue just after 9:45 a.m. for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found one mobile home fully engulfed in flames. The fire spread to multiple nearby structures, including a residence being used for storage, an RV in the backyard, and a neighboring home, which also became fully engulfed.

Crews worked to extinguish the fires and stayed on scene to monitor hotspots.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. American Red Cross was contacted to assist those displaced.
