Doña Ana Fire Rescue: Tuesday Afternoon House Fire in Tortugas

Doña Ana Fire Rescue crews responded to a house fire in Tortugas Tuesday afternoon.

Crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Tortugas Drive just before 4 p.m. following reports of a structure fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a single-story home fully engulfed in flames. As a result, both Tile Avenue and Tortugas Drive were closed to traffic.

Crews worked to extinguish the fire and stayed on scene to monitor hotspots.
