New Mexico State’s women’s tennis team dropped a 4–1 decision to UTSA on Sunday at the UTSA Tennis Center, as the Aggies continued a challenging early-season road stretch against a strong Roadrunners lineup.

The match opened with doubles play, where UTSA secured the opening team point by winning two of three courts. Montana Parkinson-Lubold and Anna Klimova provided the bright spot for NM State, earning a 6–4 victory at No. 2 doubles over Akari Tomoyose and Akari Nagasawa. However, UTSA answered with wins on courts one and three to claim the doubles point.
In singles action, Parkinson-Lubold delivered New Mexico State’s lone point of the day, turning in a decisive performance at No. 3 singles. The sophomore controlled play from the outset, defeating UTSA’s Akari Tomoyose 6–2, 6–2 to keep the Aggies within reach early in the match.

UTSA ultimately clinched the team result with straight-set wins at the top of the lineup and at No. 6 singles. Several courts remained competitive before being halted once the match was decided, including unfinished contests from Emma Petton at No. 4 and Anna Klimova at No. 5.
