Mayfield High School is proud to announce the selection of Joseph Frias as the new Head Football Coach of the Mayfield High School football program.
Coach Frias brings a strong background of leadership, dedication, and a passion for student-athlete development to the Trojans football program. With years of coaching experience and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field, Frias is poised to lead Mayfield into an exciting new chapter.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Frias to Mayfield High School,” said Athletic Coordinator Caleb Hull. “His vision for building a disciplined, competitive program—while prioritizing character, accountability, and academic success—aligns perfectly with our school’s values.”
Throughout his coaching career, Frias has been recognized for fostering team culture, developing fundamentals, and mentoring young athletes to reach their full potential. His approach emphasizes hard work, integrity, and unity—principles that will serve as the foundation of the Mayfield football program.
Coach Frias posted the following to his Facebook page regarding the news: “So it’s official, you’re looking at the new HC of Mayfield HS. What an honor and blessing it has truly been. I’m so excited for a new Chapter and new start. I’m beyond humbled and blessed to have the honor to take over such an historical monument of a football program in New Mexico. When you read about the history of football in NM, Mayfield is at the top! I’m going to hit the ground running and show the community I’m ready to get to work! Fight is On… Go Trojans…“
Coach Frias will immediately begin offseason preparations, including strength and conditioning programs, staff development, and player outreach initiatives to ensure a smooth transition into the upcoming season.
