Doña Ana Fire Rescue crews responded to an improperly controlled burn near the 3500 block of Linden Avenue in the South Valley area just after 12 p.m. Thursday.

Residents nearby may see or smell lingering smoke in the area. There is no immediate danger to the public, but crews will continue to monitor the area.
