The Palms Sculpture on Missouri Repair and Maintenance Underway

The City of Las Cruces Quality of Life Department Public Art Program will begin maintenance and repair of The Palms sculpture, 977 Missouri Avenue (S. Espina Street) beginning March 18, 2026.

This well-recognized public art installation was installed in 1994 by artists Pat and Michelle Walsh, and described as: “Metal palm trees with multi-colored canopies sitting in a xeriscape garden were commissioned as part of the Missouri/Boutz realignment beautification project. An industrialized vision of a tropical landscape.
