Visitors will be welcomed to the Museum with a morning introduction, leading into the Prayer of the Four Directions led by Patrick Narvez, Cacique of La Corporación de los Indígenas de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de Tortugas and Tortugas Pueblo. Following the prayer, the guided procession will be led by the Tortugas Pueblo and the Most Reverend Bishop Peter Baldacchino of Las Cruces.

The educational event pays tribute to San Ysidro, patron saint of farmers, and this year’s event falls on his saint day (May 15). He is best known for dedicating his life to his faith and agricultural service. A handcrafted bulto of San Ysidro by artist Virginia Maria Romero has been a part of the procession since the beginning.

Inside the museum, learn more about this agricultural tradition and culture through video and visual art about San Ysidro.
