The pedestrian, identified as 77-year-old Gloria Molina of Las Cruces, was airlifted to a local hospital. Unfortunately, Molina succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital on January 6th.

EL PASO, Texas—The Special Traffic Investigations unit responded to the
Speedway gas station located at 4990 Doniphan on Sunday, January 5th.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the Porsche Macan, driven by Alejandro Gonzalez, was at a gas pump and the pedestrian was in the business. When the pedestrian exited the business and walked into the parking lot, Gonzalez drove forward and did not see the pedestrian. As a result, the Porsche struck the pedestrian.

The contributing factor in this collision is driver inattention on part of Gonzalez.
This is the 2nd traffic fatality of 2025 compared to 2 at the same time last year.
