Round Two: Volleyball

For three days in November, our broader community was on the edge of our seats watching our local volleyball teams compete in Rio Rancho for a 2024 State Championship. Las Cruces, Centennial, Santa Teresa and Mesilla Valley Christian all arrived for their first matches on Thursday, but by Saturday night, only the Las Cruces High School Bulldawgs stood with blue trophy in hand.

It is notable to mention how the Mesilla Valley Christian SonBlazers rose from a late round loss to Texico (3-0) to play a rematch in the Class 2A championship. The SonBlazers fell to Texico 3-1.
