The Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office and the Doña Ana County Probate Judge’s Office announced on Monday that their offices are collaborating once again for “Romance at the Rotunda.” The event will take place Wednesday, Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day at the Doña Ana County Government Center.

Both offices take pride in conducting the public service of performing marriages and recording marriage licenses. Officiants for the event include Probate Judge Judith Ann Baca, Chief Deputy County Clerk Caroline Zamora, and Deputy Clerk Brandi Delgado.
For couples wishing to get married that day, here are the steps you need to take before February 14.
Step 1: Complete the Online Marriage Application at https://donaana.nm.publicsearch.us/. Click on the drop-down arrow at the top of the page that reads ‘Other Services’ and select ‘Apply for Marriage License’. After completing the application, you’ll receive a transaction number. Keep this number. Please note marriage licenses are issued by appointment only. Appointments are filling up quickly, so please complete this step as soon as possible. Couples getting married on Feb. 14 but not participating in the Romance at the Rotunda event must also make an appointment to acquire a marriage license before their ceremony.
Step 2: Call the Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office at 575-647-7421 to schedule an appointment to complete the application process. To participate in the Romance at the Rotunda event, you will schedule a ceremony time slot in addition to scheduling the marriage application appointment. Give the Clerk the transaction number from Step 1 above.
Step 3: Both applicants must attend the appointment in person at the Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office to finalize the marriage application. Applicants must bring their ID to the appointment.
Step 4: On Wednesday, February 14th arrive 30 minutes before your ceremony to check in. Check-in will be in front of the Doña Ana County Clerk’s office located on the right side of the government building.
Step 5: Ceremony
Step 6: After the ceremony, return the Signed Marriage License to the check-in table for recording and filing by the Doña Ana Clerk’s Office Staff.
Couples wishing to get married on Valentine’s Day must have a marriage license prior to their ceremony.
Spanish ceremonies are also available upon request.
