The New Mexico Music Educators Association has awarded the 2025 District Award of Distinction to Las Cruces Public Schools.
This prestigious honor recognizes the outstanding commitment and dedication of LCPS to music education. With great pride, LCPS Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Wendi Miller-Tomlinson, accepted the award, celebrating the hard work and passion of our educators, students, and community.
It was also announced that Jennifer Rogers, Las Cruces High School’s Orchestra Director, has been named the 2025 NMMEA Music Educator of the Year. At the announcement ceremony, it was revealed how she was also honored with the prestigious 2025 National Outstanding Music Educator Award from the National Federation of State High School Associations.
