Las Cruces Firefighters Extinguish Monday Morning Fire

Las Cruces firefighters extinguished a residential structure fire on Van Patten Avenue early Monday morning.

About 5:20 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, crews were dispatched to fire at a single-family residence on the 1200 block of Van Patten Avenue. First-arriving fire crews found flames emitting from the home.
  
 Firefighters attacked the blaze and brought the fire under control withing 13 minutes. A search of the home found no occupants inside.
  
 No injuries were reported.
  
 Damage estimates and the cause of the fire have yet to be determined.
