Established business owners, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs, are invited to take advantage of programs resources offered by a new center located at New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center.
The New Mexico Minority Business Development Agency center, located inside Genesis Center Building C, 3655 Research Road, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. Jan. 31, as well as the 2025 Winter BizResource Fiesta: Las Cruces from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 1 at Doña Ana Community College’s East Mesa campus, 2800 Sonoma Ranch Blvd.
The center at NMSU is New Mexico MBDA’s first center in southern New Mexico and has been established with funding from the state’s congressional delegation and the MBDA to expand services to area businesses.
“Establishing the NM MBDA Business Center in Las Cruces is a key development for southern New Mexico,” said Candle Baca, business adviser at the center. “This strategic location will not only provide vital resources and support to entrepreneurs in this region, but also serve as a beacon of economic opportunity for the entire southern part of our state. By bridging the gap in access to capital, mentorship and market opportunities, we are empowering businesses to thrive and contribute significantly to the economic vitality of this vibrant region.”

The Winter BizResource Fiesta will feature networking, growth and community engagement opportunities for entrepreneurs in need of resources. Among the family-friend event’s attendees include representatives from Arrowhead Center, Casa de Peregrinos, DACC Workforce, Health Action New Mexico, the Law Office of Pamela G. Muñoz, NM APEX Accelerator, New Mexico MBDA, New Mexico Veterans Business Outreach Center, the City of Las Cruces, WESST Las Cruces Women’s Business Center and more.
The fiesta will also feature activities for the whole family, raffles and a food truck.
