NM State earned three victories in singles play but fell just short in doubles.

The Aggies hit the road for the first time this spring, seeking their first win of the season. Despite a strong effort, NM State came up just short, falling 4-3 to Tarleton State at the Tarleton Tennis Facility.
In singles play, the Aggies secured three victories. Returner Anna Pinaieva dominated her match, defeating Emma Persson 6-3, 6-0, 6-1. Whitney Moon picked up her first singles win of the spring with a 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Ximena Morales. Freshman Montana Parkinson-Lubold continued her impressive form, battling past Adeliya Mukhutdinova 6-3, 6-2, 6-3.
Doubles action saw the Aggies fall short. The pairs of Anna Pinaieva and Nadia Nemeth, as well as Dora Kurdi and Whitney Moon, dropped their matches 6-2. The final doubles match, featuring Montana Parkinson-Lubold and Lisa Zhu, went unfinished, clinching the overall win for the Texans.

The Aggies remain at the Tarleton Tennis Facility for a doubleheader tomorrow, taking on Lubbock Christian at 9 a.m. and Collin County Community College at 11 a.m.
