Doyle has most recently served as Chief Finance Officer for Deming Public Schools in Deming, New Mexico. She has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in managing complex financial operations and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Her career began at the City of Las Cruces, where she worked as a Public Services and Facilities Accountant. There she learned skills in preparing consolidated annual financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

In 2004, Lesley joined New Mexico State University (NMSU) as an Accountant III. Over the next decade, she progressed through various positions, including Cost Accounting Officer and Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting. At NMSU, Lesley was responsible for preparing financial statements, calculating overhead rates, overseeing fixed assets, monitoring the University’s plant and unrestricted revenue and expenditures, and ensuring compliance with governmental accounting regulations. Her role also involved supervising staff and preparing national financial reports that provided data related to higher education.

She began working at Deming Public Schools in 2017. While there, she managed the school district’s budget and oversaw all finance-related departments, including financial reporting, cash management, payroll, accounts payable, and procurement. She played a crucial role in analyzing and implementing school board policies, providing financial training to district administration, and working with finance advisors to issue long-term debt.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration from New Mexico State University.
