NM State arrived in Lubbock with a mission and executed it to perfection, capping off a 3-0 weekend with a 4-2 victory over Lubbock Christian. The win lifts the Aggies to a 5-6 record on the spring season, fueled by strong performances in doubles play and three straight-set victories in singles action.
The Aggies wasted no time setting the tone, striking first in doubles competition. The pairing of Holland Snell and Matias Rojas made quick work of Andres De Los Rios and Pablo Segura with a commanding 6-1 win. Soon after, Lance Urlaub and Roko Stipetic secured the doubles point with a 6-2 victory over Mattia Ghedin and Marco Seccia. Gustavo Campos and Tobias Wallin also were performing well, holding a 4-3 lead over Kelle Giese and Jordan Georgiev but match play was ended early due to the previous wins.
In singles play, NM State sealed the win with three decisive performances. Tobias Wallin cruised past Pablo Segura 6-2, 6-3, while Snell continued his strong day with a dominant 6-2, 6-3 victory over Ghedin. To close it out, Urlaub delivered the final blow, defeating De Los Rios 6-4, 6-2 and solidifying the Aggies’ perfect weekend.
