NM State 4, Illinois State 3 
After a tough doubleheader loss to Tulsa on Friday, the Aggies bounced back in a big way, edging out Illinois State 4-3 in a tightly contested battle. Securing the crucial doubles point and a clutch singles victory from Lance Urlaub proved to be the difference in NM State’s hard-fought win. 

The Aggies set the tone early in doubles play, as Roko Stipeticand Lance Urlaub teamed up to take down Caden Scarlett and Christian Capacci 6-4. After a narrow defeat in the second doubles matchup, Itay Feigin and Patrick Lohmann delivered in a pressure-packed matchup against Adrian Dibildox and Finn Louge, pulling out a 7-6 victory to clinch the doubles point and give NM State a key edge heading into singles action. 

In singles play, NM State picked up three victories, with Urlaub, Stipetic, and Tobias Wallin securing crucial wins. Urlaub took down Capacci 6-3, 7-6, while Wallin dominated Dibildox 6-2, 6-3. Stipetic battled through a three-set battle against Louge, ultimately prevailing 6-3, 7-6, 6-1. With the early doubles point in hand, the Aggies secured the tiebreaker, sealing a 4-3 victory.

NM State will hit the road next weekend to compete in the H-E-B Invitational in Corpus Christi, Texas.
