The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office (DASO) will graduate 14 cadets Thursday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. The public graduation ceremony will be held in the auditorium of the Doña Ana Community College East Mesa campus.

Doña Ana County – The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office (DASO) will graduate 14 cadets Thursday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. The public graduation ceremony will be held in the auditorium of the Doña Ana Community College East Mesa campus.
The event will include the administration of the oaths of office, signifying the official transition from cadets to law-enforcement officers.
Upon graduation, each cadet will have successfully completed a 19-week law enforcement academy with 764 hours of rigorous and intensive training in state law, proper arrest procedures, mental health and de-escalation tactics, DWI training, physical agility, firearms qualifications, extensive use-of-force training and many other necessary skills required on the job.
Following graduation, all cadets will enter a14-week probationary field-training period before they become full-fledged deputies within the department.
The 29th graduating class of the DASO law enforcement academy is comprised of the following: Armando Chacon, Matthew Diaz, Guillermo Fernandez, Miguel Gonzalez, Brandon Helms, Samuel Monasterio, Joshua Montelongo, Jake Orrantia, Jessie Ramirez Jr., Cristian Rivera, Brandon Robles, Carlos Sandoval, Nathan Saenz and Brayden Wyatt.
