Fast forward to June 6, 2025. The same Longhorns team is playing for the National Championship against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The team in orange even started the same pitcher. The result was the same. Longhorns win; only this time, they won it all.

At the ultimate end of the season, it can be stated clearly that the New Mexico State University Aggies did not reach the goals or expectations felt by many at the beginning of the season; however, they did compete with the best.

Typically, fans and supporters lose interest in how well the “other teams” do, and this is a recipe for continued struggles in building a championship team. Included, below, is how the Longhorns are celebrating their National Championship. It should stand as a reminder that this could be the Aggies.

The road to that end begins with this acknowledgement. NMSU is capable of winning a National Championship… but until they do…

Congratulations, Longhorns!

·         2 “water monsters” are located throughout McCombs Field for FREE water on gameday. One is located in the main concourse near the home plate concessions stand, and the second location is near the outfield gate entrance. Please ask an usher for assistance in locating the “water monster” nearest you.

·         All fans are allowed to bring one (1) factory sealed plastic bottle of water into the stadium (up to 1 liter); no other outside beverages or containers are allowed.

·         A St. David’s HealthCare cooling station is located on the main concourse featuring fans and cooling towels for fans.

Please prepare accordingly by hydrating prior, during, and after the game.
