Sotol Drive residents will experience a water outage from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

This will enable the City of Las Cruces Water Department/Meters, Valves, Hydrants to replace a main line water valve on Sotol Drive. This work will be in City Council District 2.
Adjacent areas also may be affected by this outage. Sotol Drive is in District 2 of Las Cruces, Representative Bill Mattice District.
Residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all faucets in their house for five minutes.
