Two Month Closure Planned for Picacho Crosswalk and West Picacho Lane Closure in Las Cruces

Pedestrians who frequent west Picacho Avenue in Las Cruces are advised that the crosswalk at 4th Street will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, April 8, 2024.

The closure will last approximately two months while RT Electric upgrades the crosswalk to include a HAWK signal crossing at this location.

Crosswalk detour signs will be in place directing pedestrians west to the crosswalk at north Valley Drive.

Lane closures for the westbound and eastbound outside lanes of west Picacho Avenue, from Third Street to Fifth Street, will be in effect for approximately two months beginning Monday, April 8, 2024.

Additionally, Fourth Street will be closed to access onto west Picacho Avenue.
