Second half property taxes are due May 10

Doña Ana County’s Treasurer’s Office mailed to property owners their Second Half Tax Notices, and they are due May 10. New Mexico Property Tax Code does not allow the county treasurer to forgive penalty and interest incurred.

Mobile homeowners who did not yet receive a tax bill are encouraged to contact the Treasurer’s Office, as mobile homes are taxed separately from the land upon which they are located. Penalty and interest charges may still apply, even if an owner did not receive their tax bill.

Avoid penalty and interest charges by paying property taxes by May 10 in any of the following ways:

  • In-Person at the Treasurer’s Office:  Business hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Mail:  Please use the self-addressed envelope provided with the tax notice.
  • 24 Hr. Drop Box: located just outside the Government Center’s main entrance, 845 N. Motel Blvd. in Las Cruces.
