The next Bridging the Badge Zoom meeting, scheduled for April 11, coincides with Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and will focus on the safety of vulnerable users of area roads and trails.

The Las Cruces Police Department Zoom meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024. Participants can join the Zoom meeting here.

The meeting will also be livestreamed on the Las Cruces Police Department’s Facebook page. Viewers can ask questions via Zoom or through the Facebook live.

Hosts of the meeting, commissioned Las Cruces Police Department officers, will be joined by Barbara Toth, chairwoman of the New Mexico Vulnerable Road Users group; and Eloisa Torres, board member of the Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance.

Both organizations advocate for persons of all background to have access to the outdoors in a safe and responsible manner.

Las Cruces Police Department Zoom meetings, held monthly, are intended to promote understanding, collaboration, and informed dialogue on important topics with Las Cruces residents.

Each meeting is anticipated to last about one hour. An open and respectful dialogue is encouraged during each meeting.
