Our First Saturday Movie Marathon will begin at 11 a.m. May 4, 2024, in the Roadrunner Room, on the second floor of Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave.

A two-movie marathon begins at 11 a.m. with a 2017 movie set in a faraway galaxy. The second movie, in the same galaxy, from 2019, will start at 1:45 p.m. Both movies are rated PG-13.

As always, this movie series is free to the public. Residents are encouraged to join us for the day and are welcome to bring light snacks. For movie titles check out our Calendar of Events at https://las-cruces.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/.

Upcoming First Saturday Movie Marathons will include a trio of water adventures for National Ocean Month and the start of our Summer Reading Program “Adventure Begins at Your Library,” in June. A trio of Jules Verne-based adventure movies will be screened in July, and three Kevin Costner romances are scheduled for Read a Romance Month in August. In September we will celebrate Freddie Mercury’s birthday.
