Las Cruces Public Libraries invites you to carry out the famous words by Socrates, “the unexamined life is not worth living” at the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 25. The Library is located at 200 E. Picacho Avenue and is along RoadRUNNER Transit route 1.

Participants will explore open-ended topics of discussion, and narrow it down to a specific topic, dissecting it using the Socratic Method. Socrates Cafés were founded by author and scholar Christopher Phillips in 1996. The goal of a Socrates Café is to promote critical thinking and understanding among people as they ponder the nature of the world around them.
