Las Cruces Public Libraries invites residents to join us for Emergency Preparedness.  This program will meet starting at 11 a.m. on June 15 in the Roadrunner Room at the Las Cruces Public Library, located at 200 E. Picacho Ave.

An emergency, disaster or mandatory evacuation can happen at any time, anywhere. Is your family prepared? Emergency preparedness and disasters are thankfully not so common here in the southwest, but they do happen. We experience high winds, fires, floods and more. It’s important to have a plan and supplies for you and your family in any kind of emergency, whether at home or on the road.  

We will discuss the various types of emergencies that can happen, how to prepare your home and family regarding food and water to store, important paperwork to keep on hand, how to pack a basic first aid kit, and more.
