This month’s theme is Jules Verne adventure movies and will be on July 6, 2024, in the Roadrunner Room on the second floor of the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, located at 200 E. Picacho Ave on RoadRUNNER Transit route 1.

The marathon will begin at 11 a.m. with a scientist, his teenage nephew, and a guide who travel deep into a volcano. The second movie takes our teenager to a strange island, and will begin at 12:45 p.m. The third movie follows a couple of people as they travel around the world in less than 3 months. It will begin at 2:30 p.m. All three movies are rated PG.

As always, this movie series is free and open to the public. We encourage you join us for the day. You’re welcome to bring light snacks. For movie titles check out our calendar of events at https://las-cruces.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/.

Upcoming First Saturday Movie Marathons will include a trio of romances starring Kevin Costner in August for Read a Romance month; and a couple of great adventures featuring the music of Queen and a biopic about Freddy Mercury in honor of his September birthday; and a trio of disaster movies in October.
