Deputy Secretary Visits Pennsylvania, North Dakota to Highlight Better Markets for Farmers

Deputy Secretary Torres Small was in Pennsylvania and North Dakota this week to highlight the Biden-Harris Administration’s work to help farmers build more, new, and better markets and strengthen farming operations and businesses.
On Wednesday, along with U.S. Senator Bob Casey, she toured Penn State’s Ag Progress Days, an event in which 400 exhibitors from the United States and Canada showcase educational programs, current research, and the latest innovations in agricultural equipment and technology.
On Thursday, she and Under Secretary for Research, Education, and Economics Dr. Jacobs-Young were in Fargo, North Dakota, where they met with young farmers and producers and discussed how USDA is supporting new and beginning farmers and ensuring that they have access to farming opportunities.
