Las Cruces Public Libraries invites residents to join us for Quick Scarves and Shawls from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024.

Quick Scarves and Shawls will be a drop-in program in the Roadrunner Room on the second floor of Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave.

Participants will need to bring two to four T-shirts and a fleece blanket. After-holiday sales and thrift stores are a great source for supplies!

The blanket needs to be nonwoven, so when the fabric is cut, it doesn’t unravel. T-shirts that are tubes, with no side seams work better.

The T-shirts can be any size, but large size and larger sizes are better. Plain or screen printed are fine.

This program is for teens and adults but is not appropriate for children. Registration is not required but is recommended.

This document can be made available in alternate formats by calling (575) 528-4102 or (575) 528-4008 (TTY). Anyone who requires an accommodation for a disability to participate in this event should call Branigan Library at least 48 hours in advance at (575) 528-4102 or (575) 528-4008 (TTY).
