The installation of these stations also aligns with Doña Ana County’s broader sustainability goals, which include enhancing sustainable infrastructure and encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles. As more residents and visitors switch to EVs, the availability of charging infrastructure will be essential to meeting the demand.

“The introduction of these new fast-charging electric vehicle stations is a significant step in our efforts to build an electric vehicle fleet to accelerate the County’s transition to clean energy transportation,” Assistant County Manager Jonathan Macias said. “We appreciate the partnership with El Paso Electric and New Mexico Department of Transportation as we move toward a more sustainable community together.”

The new EV charging stations are located at:

  • 855 Anthony Dr., Anthony, NM 88021 – Sheriff’s Office – NMDOT DC Fast Charging (DCFC) station.
  • 115 Franklin St. , Hatch, NM 87937 – Village of Hatch Admin Office – NMDOT DCFC station.
  • 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, NM 88007 – Government Center – NMDOT DCFC station.

These stations are designed to serve the growing number of EV drivers in our community, offering convenient and reliable charging options across the county. They are strategically placed to maximize accessibility, whether for daily commutes or long-distance travel.

“We are thrilled to work alongside Doña Ana County to expand the EV charging infrastructure in New Mexico,” Angie Rodriguez, Supervisor for Electrification of Transportation at EPE said. “These new charging stations represent our shared commitment to building a cleaner, more sustainable future for our communities. Together, we are making it easier for residents and visitors to choose electric vehicles, knowing they can count on convenient charging options.”
