Aggie Accolades
2023 Conference USA Player of the Year wins her third Offensive Player of the Week CUSA Announce on Sept. 3. McNeese is the third Aggie to win Offensive Player of the Week in three consecutive weeks.
McNeese had an outstanding week as she recorded her second career brace against Pacific scoring back-to-back goals in the Aggies 3-1 victory over Pacific. In that game, McNeese also recorded her seventh game-winning goal of her career. McNeese recorded six shots with four on goal in that game. On the week McNeese played in 148 minutes.
Record Watch
After posting a brace on Thursday, Loma McNeese has 21 career goals, putting her third in program history. Along with this, she is also tied for first in-game winnings goals (7), in second place in points (56), tied for second in PK goals (2) and tied for second in multi-goal games (2).
Valerie Guha sits in second place in shutouts among all Aggie goalkeepers. She is also third in goalkeeper wins (12), second in GAA (1.32) and tenth in saves (66).
Unbeaten
The Aggies are on an eight-game home unbeaten streak with their last loss being UNLV on Sept. 7, 2023. The Aggies are now 14-3-6 at home dating back to 2022. Since 2023 Offensive Player of the Year Loma McNeese arrived on campus the Aggies are 22-8-6 at home.
History
The Aggies and the Wildcats have faced off on just one other occasion back in 2021. In that game, the Wildcats defeated the Aggies 4-0 in Tucson, Ariz. Two Aggies are still on the team that played in the last matchup.
Both McNeese and Xitlaly Hernandez both played on that team. Hernandez started that game and played for a total of 67 minutes. McNeese came off the bench in that game and played for 37 minutes.
Scouting the Wildcats
Arizona is 4-1-1 on the year with wins against, Grand Canyon, Pacific, Northern Arizona and UC Irvine. Their one loss on the year came against #5 North Carolina where they fell 0-2. The Wildcats have one tie on the year against Pepperdine. The Wildcats are currently undefeated at home.
Nicole Dallin is leading the team in goals with five, points with 12, shots with 11 and shots on goal with six. Olivia Ramey has started in all six games only allowing three goals, with 15 saves.
