THE FALL SLATE
After opening at the Wildcat Invitational, NM State will head to ITA Bedford Cup in Air Force Academy, Colo., on Friday, Sept. 27, and will wrap up play on Sunday, Sept. 29. Lastly, the Aggies will finish out the fall slate with the ITA Regional Championships that will be held in Las Vegas, Nev., that will start on Thursday, Oct. 17, and end Tuesday, Oct. 22.
THE 2024 AGGIES
In the 2024 season, the Aggies will be returning a lot of familiar faces bringing back eight of their nine players from last season with exception of senior Vassanth Manthan. Along with bringing back the core of the team, the Aggies also added two freshmen (Matias Rojas and Holland Snell) and one sophomore (Lance Urlaub).
Leading the way for the Aggies will likely be Tobias Wallin, Roko Stipetic, and Gustavo Campos. Wallin ended the spring season in a positive way, earning All-Conference Second Team in Singles for the Aggies with an 8-10 record. Campos was second in doubles wins last season for the Aggies with nine and Stipetic tied with Campos for second on the team in singles wins with six.
NM State is also looking to receive some stellar play from the newcomers Lance Urlaub and Holland Snell. Lance was a four star recruit out of Arizona for the 2023 class. He was named the Arizona High School tennis player of the year in both 2021 and 2022. He also won the state championship in 2021 and went undefeated in regular season singles play. Holland is a four star recruit out of El Paso, Texas, and was ranked as the 81st recruit in the country according to the tennis recruiting network.
