NM State earns five victories at Aggie Invitational, fueled by impressive showings from Nemeth and Pinaieva.

NM State wrapped up its fall season opener with a strong showing at the Aggie Invitational, securing five total wins, including three in doubles play. Anna Pinaievawas the standout, dominating her singles matches and contributing to the Aggies’ doubles success.
Pinaieva led the charge for the Aggies, finishing the tournament 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles. On the final day, Pinaieva partnered with Dora Kurdi to grind out a 6-4 win over Abilene Christian’s Maria Cascos and Olivia Sears, then capped her weekend with a 6-3, 6-4 singles win over UTEP’s Carlotta Mencaglia.
Newcomer Nadia Nemeth impressed in her Aggie debut, going 3-0 in doubles and 2-1 in singles. Nemeth’s doubles victory came alongside Whitney Moon as they controlled the tempo from the start, defeating ACU’s Eva Arranz and Masha Vrsalovic 6-3 with consistent serves and strong net play.
The pairing of Montana Parkinson-Lubold and Lisa Zhu contributed to the Aggies’ success with a 6-1 doubles win over Hebe Toyos and Alice Klinteby, while returner Dora Kurdi displayed dominant court coverage securing a 6-1, 6-2 singles victory against UTEP’s Wendy Zhang.
