The Mayfield Trojan Girls Cross Country team demonstrated a quintessential aspect of XC team competition–it doesn’t take superstar performances to win a district title. The Trojans put together a winning performance with three juniors and two seniors finishing in the top-ten, none of whom finished in the top four. Mayfield’s top five runners finished as a team, with less than half a minute separating them at the finish line.
