Aggie Divers Wrap Up Lumberjack Diving Invite

Tinani lands in sixth in platform to round out the weekend.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Aggie divers wrapped up their weekend at Northern Arizona on Saturday, concluding the three-day Lumberjack Diving Invite. Sophomore Mira Tinani led the way as she qualified for the finals in all three events and capped off her weekend with a sixth-place finish in the platform to finish tied for 11th on the high-point list for the weekend.

On Thursday, Tinani advanced to the finals of the 3-meter dive, ultimately finishing seventh (257.70). Peytton Moore qualified for the B finals where she secured a fourth-place finish with a score of 249.10. The Aggies returned to action on Friday, led by another seventh-place result from Tinani in the 1m dive as she posted a 264.25. Moore returned to the B finals on the second day of the invite, slotting a fifth-place placement in the 1m (239.30). Later that same day, Addison Pastiak joined the duo to claim a third-place finish in the team event with 256.50 points.
 
On Saturday, Tinani submitted her best finish of the three-day competition as she logged a sixth-place finish in the platform event. Meanwhile, both Pastiak and Moore earned a spot in the B final. There, Pastiak finished third while Moore turned in a fifth-place finish.

UP NEXT
After the conclusion of the Lumberjack Diving Invite, NM State next returns to action the following weekend. New Mexico will host a meet as the Aggie swimmers and divers wrap up the regular season in Albuquerque. The dual with the Lobos is set to begin at Noon on Saturday, Feb. 8.
