Emma Bunch has learned where she would be competing for a spot in the national championships. On Wednesday afternoon, the NCAA released its full participant list for the NCAA Regionals which including announcing that the Aggie sophomore will be headed to Cle Elum, Wash., as one of the six individuals competing in the northwest regional.
Bunch will be the top-seeded individual after earning her spot into the regional by winning the 2024 Conference USA Individual crown last week at High Meadows Golf Club where she finished the 54-hole tournament seven shots under par to clear the field by one stroke.
With the selection, Bunch will become the first Aggie from the women’s program to represent NM State at an NCAA Regional since 2022 when the Aggie squad earned a spot into the Albuquerque regionals after claiming the WAC team title.
While in Cle Elum, Bunch will be joined by 12 teams and five individuals. This list includes the teams below seeded in the following order:
1. Stanford (Pac-12)
2. Duke
3. Arizona State
4. Virginia
5. San Jose State (Mountain West)
6. Washington
7. Alabama
8. Virginia Tech
9. Kansas
10. Long Beach State (Big West)
11. Sacramento State (Big Sky)
12. Seattle U (WAC)
Meanwhile, the individuals below will also be competing alongside the 60 players from the teams listed above.

The Cle Elum regional will be played at Tumble Creek Club which is the same course that the Aggies competed at after winning the 2019 WAC Championship. As a team, the Aggies finished 61 over par and placed 16th in the region while junior Dominique Galloway was the Aggies’ top individual finisher, coming in 40th place after shooting six over par for the week.
ABOUT NCAA REGIONALS
Regional play will take place May 6-8 at six regional sites, with 396 participants and each site featuring 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 17-22 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. Championship play will be hosted by University of Texas at Austin, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.
