LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Friday, the NM State women’s golf team will begin its final tournament of the season before heading to the Conference USA Championships. The Aggies will close out their regular season in Phoenix, Ariz., at Papago Golf Club, where Arizona State University will host the PING/ASU Invitational.

The three-day, three-round tournament is scheduled to open at 9:00 a.m. MDT each day, utilizing a staggered start on Friday and Saturday and a shotgun start on Sunday. Coming off of an individual title at the Spring Break Shootout, Emma Bunch will be looking to defend her title as she earned a share of the individual title last year alongside UCLA’s Zoe Campos.
 
PING/ASU Invitational
Dates: Friday, March 28 – Sunday, March 30 (One round each day)
Location: Phoenix
Course: Papago Golf Club
Par/Yardage: 72/6,586 yards
 
AGGIE LINEUP
NM State will be represented by Emma BunchCamille PazoukiKaylee Chen, Amanda Garvin, Isa Laulhe and Alexandria Armendariz who will be competing as an individual. Of this group, Bunch, Chen and Garvin have played in each of the Aggies’ seven competitions thus far.
 
In the Aggies’ most recent tournament, they were paced by Emma Bunch who closed out the week with a 66 (-5) in the final round to post a 209 (-4) and take home the individual title. Kaylee Chen and Camille Pazouki also posted strong finishes as they both ended the event tied for 27th place (227, +14).
 
As a team, the Aggies turned in their second straight T3 finish after also finishing tied for third at the Riverbend Intercollegiate. NM State concluded the week with a total score of 889 (+37).

NM State will compete in a field of 13 total teams, including host Arizona State, Abilene Christian, California, Florida Atlantic, Grand Canyon, Kansas, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Northwestern, Pepperdine, Tulsa and UCLA.
