NM State Secures Five Victories on Final Day, Highlighted by Four Singles Wins.

Finishing out the last day of the Wildcat Invitational, the Aggies rounded out with five victories, with four coming from singles play.
Tobias Wallin kicked off the day for the Aggies by defeating Gonzaga’s Giovanni Branchetti in a tough match, 6-3, 5-7, 10-3, gaining his first singles win of the tournament. Building on that momentum, Patrick Lohmann followed with a clutch performance, edging out Gonzaga’s Jay Fairclough in the Delta Draw, 7-6 (0-5), 6-4, securing the Aggies’ second singles victory of the day.
Lance Urlaub earned a victory over Northern Arizona’s Noa Tcherniak, 6-4, 2-6, 10-6, while Roko Stipetic secured his first win of the event by defeating Ivan Perisic in a close battle, 7-6 (0-3), 6-4. Both matches highlighted the Aggies’ resilience, with Urlaub and Stipetic coming through in crucial moments to notch key victories.
The Aggies’ sole doubles win came in the Red Draw when teammates faced off, with Tobias Wallin and Itay Feigin defeating Lance Urlaub and Patrick Lohmann 6-4 in a competitive match.

NM State will return to action in two weeks, traveling to Air Force Academy, Colo., to compete in the ITA Bedford Cup. The tournament begins on Friday, Sept. 27, and concludes on Sunday, Sept. 29.
