NM State starts its road trip in Miami with a 4-1 loss to Liberty today at the PayCargo Tennis Center.

The Aggies secured one singles victory and a doubles win but ultimately fell short against the Flames. Freshman Nadia Nemeth delivered NM State’s lone singles victory, defeating Anika Lemus in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Meanwhile, the duo of Montana Parkinson-Lubold and Lisa Zhu edged out Liberty’s Yoanna Radulova and Anika Lemus in doubles play, 7-5.
Despite strong efforts from multiple players, NM State couldn’t overcome Liberty’s momentum. Anna Pinaieva’s match at the No. 1 spot went unfinished in a tight battle, while Parkinson-Lubold was locked in a three-set match before it was halted.
