CUSA Player of the Week – Don McHenry, WKU – Sr. – G – Milwaukee, Wis.
McHenry garners CUSA Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading WKU (14-8, 5-4 CUSA) to a perfect 2-0 week at home. The senior from Milwaukee, Wis., piled on 27 points with a career-high seven three-pointers in the Hilltoppers’ dominant 101-69 win over NM State on Saturday. Thursday saw McHenry record 20 points, helping lift WKU to its third straight win. He has now charted 20-plus points in four consecutive contests and 10 total on the year.

CUSA Freshman of the Week – Adrian Wooley, Kennesaw State – Fr. – G – Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Wooley claims his seventh CUSA Freshman of the Week award after averaging a team-high 20 points in the Owls (13-9, 5-4 CUSA) two contests last week. The freshman guard shot 48.1 percent from the floor while knocking down five triples. In Thursday night’s matchup against Liberty, Wooley scored 19 of his 22 points in the second half. In the home win over FIU, he dropped 18 points with five boards, three assists and three steals.

The next time the Aggies take the court will be against forever rival, UTEP. The game has been announced as a “White Out” game, and as any older fan knows, white out is great for making corrections. The Aggies hope to take advantage of this Saturday’s game to put behind them whatever chicken bucket curse that has been plaguing them of late. It’s time to whitewash the past and get back to playing that shoot-from-the-hip Pistol Pete Offense and some thank-you-kindly Do-si-do Defense. The rafters at the Pan Am are getting a little dusty; it might be time to shake ’em up a bit.
