DALLAS – Middle Tennessee’s Jestin Porter and Kennesaw State’s Adrian Wooley earned Conference USA Men’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2024-25 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
CUSA Player of the Week – Jestin Porter, MTSU – Sr. – G – Houston, Texas
Porter is crowned CUSA Player of the Week after averaging 28 points per game in two home victories over Kennesaw State and Jax State. The senior guard led the Blue Raiders (12-5, 3-1 CUSA) offense with a then-season-high 27 points on 9-15 shooting against the Owls. He also added three rebounds and a career-high two blocks in the win. Porter followed that with a season-high 29 points and six made triples while snatching a team-high four steals in an 81-64 win over the Gamecocks on Saturday.
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Adrian Wooley, Kennesaw State – Fr. – G – Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Wooley claims CUSA Freshman of the Week honors for the third week in a row and sixth overall. The freshman standout averaged 25.5 points and eight boards for the Owls (9-7, 1-2 CUSA) while shooting 51.7 percent and going 17-19 from the charity stripe. Wooley dropped 24 points and grabbed six rebounds on the road at MTSU and followed Thursday’s performance with a 27-point and 10-rebound double-double at WKU. He has now scored 20 or more points in six of his last seven outings.
