TUCSON, Ariz. – Swedish Sophomore Tobias Wallin was left an interesting gift by Tomten this year for Christmas. It came in the form of a post-holiday tennis match… or two. Wallin received the opportunity to play the NCAA’s 6th-ranked individual player (Jay Friend, U of A)… only to turn around and play the nation’s 5th ranked individual player (Colton Smith, U of A). It is rare to play such high caliber opponents consecutively.
