The Aggies returned to competition on Thursday at the Pacific Coast Invitational, hosted by Long Beach State University. Thulisile Amon and Thobile Amon recorded a one-two finish in the 800m run, and Rebecca Green finished at the top of the field in the shot put to highlight the first day of weekend action.

The quartet of Aliyah LoganGrace PendarvisTerice Steen and Sierra Brewer took part in the 4×100 relay, crossing the line in fifth with a time of 45.89.

They say good things come in pairs. This was the case for the Crimson & White, along with Thulisile Amon and Thobile Amon, in the 800m run. The former took first place with a time of 2:09.40, with the latter finishing just behind with a mark of 2:09.96. Alongside the pair of seniors, Albuquerque native Angela Korte recorded a personal best in the event, posting a time of 2:16.91.

Anekin Hetman was the lone Aggie to compete in the 1500m run, posting a season-best time of 3:58.90.

Participating in outdoor competition for the first time this season, T’Erica Boyd posted a time of 13.88 (+3.6 m/s) in the 100m hurdles to take 13th.

Makiya Moore launched a best toss of 48.15m (157-11″) in the discus to take second in her flight.

For the third time in 2024 and the second straight week, Rebecca Green finished first overall in the shot put, recording a mark of 16.03m (57-7.25″). This represents Green’s third-best mark of the 2024, trailing only a pair of results that became school records (16.10m at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic and 16.59m at the Stanford Invitational).
