These two State-topping performances separated the Hawks from the rest of the field, with the exception of the Las Cruces High School Bulldawgs who lagged 11 points behind entering Spring sports season. Just before publishing, the following post came across the Las Cruces Digest feed: “2001 Record Broken: 1600 m medley relay: Congrats Devin Eichelberger, Corbin Coombs, Jaden Gonzales, Kyler Peterson! OM boys remain undefeated this year and OM girls took runner-up this weekend at the LCHS invite.” The Organ Mountain High School Facebook post indicated an extra 7-points for the Knights, putting them right back into contention for the Cup.
