The affected area includes:

  • Bellamah Drive: From Locust Street to Lees Drive.
  • Klein Avenue: From Bellamah Drive to Dale Lane.
  • Dale Lane: From Klein Avenue to Princess Jeanne Drive.
  • Lees Drive: From Lester Avenue to east Idaho Avenue.
  • Lester Avenue: From Maple Street to Skyway Drive.
  • Joy Lane: From Lester Avenue to the cul-de-sac.

A-Mountain Construction, under contract with the City of Las Cruces, will be connecting a new water line to the existing water system. This water outage will be in City Council District 3.

Adjacent areas also may be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will post a door-hanger notice a minimum of 48 hours in advance.

Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the City recommends waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.

The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all faucets in their residence or business for five minutes.

If the discoloration remains, call the City of Las Cruces at (575) 526-0500 for assistance. For after-hours assistance, call Utility Dispatch at (575) 526-0500.

For information, call the Public Works Department/Contracts Administration at (575) 528-3098. The TTY number is (575) 541-2182.
