Bellamah Drive Water Outage Thursday, February 22, 2024 (See Details)

Residents in the Bellamah Drive area will experience a water outage from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024.

Source: City of Las Cruces

The affected areas include:

  • East Idaho Avenue: From Lees Drive to Locust Street.
  • Princess Jeanne Drive: From east Idaho Avenue to Locust Street.
  • Lees Drive: From Lester Avenue to east Idaho Avenue.
  • Lester Avenue: From Maple Street to Skyway Drive.
  • Lester Court: From Lester Avenue to the cul-de-sac.
  • Joy Lane: From Lester Avenue to the cul-de-sac.

A-Mountain Construction, under contract with the City of Las Cruces, will be connecting a new water line to the existing water system. This water outage will be in City Council District 3.

Adjacent areas also may be affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will post a door-hanger notice a minimum of 48 hours in advance.

Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the City recommends waiting for water to become clear before washing laundry.

The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all faucets in their residence or business for five minutes.

If the discoloration remains, or for after-hours assistance, call the City of Las Cruces at (575) 526-0500.

For information, call the Public Works Department/Contracts Administration at (575) 528-3098. The TTY number is (575) 541-2182.
