We’ve also added new sidewalks to make the corridor safer and more accessible for pedestrians, beautiful landscaping and turning lanes.

Please note: The Alameda Arroyo Trail crossing remains closed as crews install rip rap (large stones) to prevent erosion and complete other improvements.

In the coming weeks, crews will make final repairs along the westbound lanes, bringing this project to a close.

NMDOT added, “Thank you for your patience and support during this important project — we’re almost there!”
